Beyonce Has A Hit Movie?

Who in their right mind would pay money to see this movie? I can understand sneaking in to see it, but actually paying? Maybe the people who went to see it did it for the unintentional comedy.

All I know is that Pimp Daddy Knowles did the right thing by keeping it at a PG-13 rating so the young stans could see their beloved Queen Lace Front in her latest hackery. Also, they kept movie critics from having their usual private screening of the movie. I guess that people hadn't caught on to the huge barrage of panning that movie critics have been giving this trash. This is Beyonce's first non-flop since 'Dreamgirls.'

Here's The weekend box office numbers:
1. Obsessed - $28.5 million
2. 17 Again - $11.7 million
3. Fighting - $11.4 million
4. The Soloist - $9.7 million
5. Earth - $8.5 million
6. Monster Vs. Aliens - $8.5 million
7. State of Play - $6.9 million
8. Hannah Montana - $6.4 million
9. Fast and Furious - $6.1 million
10. Crank: High Voltage - $2.4 million

'The Soloist' took in under 10 million? I wonder if Jaime is feeling the heat from the Miley Cyrus comments. ...Read more

It's Just A Wig!

Kim Kardashian has caused a stir when she debuted her new blond locks this weekend on her twitter page. But she claims that it's just a wig. She says on her website:

It's a wig! Did I have you fooled? I did a fabulous photo shoot this weekend and they put this hair piece on! I haven't taken it off since, because I'm really loving the look. I've been wearing it around New York and everyone thought it was my real hair! It's making me want to dye my hair and maybe go lighter for the summer. What do you think? Should I dye it for real?
Call me crazy but I like it. She looks a bit like a poor man's Jennifer Lopez but it's still nice. source

A Public Heath Emergency Has Been Launched For Swine Flu

The U.S. declared a public health emergency Sunday to deal with the emerging new swine flu, much like the government does to prepare for approaching hurricanes.

Officials reported 20 U.S. cases of swine flu in five states so far, with the latest in Ohio and New York. Unlike in Mexico where the same strain appears to be killing dozens of people, cases in the United State have been mild _ and U.S. health authorities can't yet explain why.

"As we continue to look for cases, we are going to see a broader spectrum of disease," predicted Dr. Richard Besser, acting chief of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. "We're going to see more severe disease in this country."

At a White House news conference, Besser and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano sought to assure Americans that health officials are taking all appropriate steps to minimize the impact of the outbreak.

Top among those is declaring the public health emergency. As part of that, Napolitano said roughly 12 million doses of the drug Tamiflu will be moved from a federal stockpile to places where states can quickly get their share if they decide they need it. Priority will be given to the five states with known cases so far: California, Texas, New York, Ohio and Kansas.

Napolitano called the emergency declaration standard operating procedure _ one was declared recently for the inauguration and for flooding. She urged people to think of it as a "declaration of emergency preparedness."

"Really that's what we're doing right now. We're preparing in an environment where we really don't know ultimately what the size of seriousness of this outbreak is going to be."

In August, he violated his bail agreement and was thrown in jail. His actions were deplorable for anybody, but Kilpatrick was no Average Joe–he was the mayor of Detroit.

Unfortunately for the Motor City, Kilpatrick, 38, is just one ripple in the area’s sea of crime. Detroit is the worst offender on our list of America’s most dangerous cities, thanks to a staggering rate of 1,220 violent crimes committed per 100,000 people.

“Detroit has, historically, been one of the more violent cities in the U.S.,” says Megan Wolfram, an analyst at iJet Intelligent Risk Systems, a Maryland-based risk-assessment firm. “They have a number of local crime syndicates there–a number of small gangs who tend to compete over territory.”

Guess Whose U.S. Tour Is Selling Badly Than Expected

Pop the hood to find out Pimp Daddy Knowles is not gonna be happy about this.

Tickets for Beyonce's 'I Am...A Mess' U.S. tour is not selling out the way her camp expected it to. Many tickets are still available for nearly every date including big cities like NYC, Chicago, ATL, LA, and many more. Rumors surrounding the tour went that Pimp Daddy Knowles wanted Beyonce to play in huge arenas like Solider Field in Chicago and Giant's Field in NYC. Industry experts say that they're happy that didn't happen because those shows would have been cancelled or embarrassingly there would have been more empty seats than filled seats.

Before the stans and Pimp Daddy Knowles blame it on the recession, remember, U2, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, and Madonna had no trouble selling out in this economy. With the exception of Britney, they were playing in the big arenas Papa Knowles wanted Bey to play. But legends have no trouble selling out. source

I remember a lot of Bey stans and Rihanna haters were snickering because her tour wasn't selling hugely either.

Girl Fight! Girl Fight!

Looks like Pussycat Melody Thornton is getting a little tired of playing Kelly Rowland to Nicole Scherzinger's Beyonce. The Pussycat Dolls are on tour with Britney Spears and at their Phoenix concert Melody got some stress off of her chest. Can't say that I blame her. Melody is equally if not more talented than Nicole Flopzinger. We always see how things take a turn for the worst when a girl is told to be in the background when that same girl is just as or more talented as the lead singer. Random Notes

Bea Authur, one of the stars of one of my favorite '80s TV shows, 'The Golden Girls,' died today at age 86. She died form cancer.

So much for those pregnancy rumors. Rih Rih had some fun at Chum FM’s 24th anniversary celebration in Barbados last night. New BFF Katy Perry was with her. pic source

New Music: Sean Paul - 'So Fine' // Diddy - 'Diddy Bop'

This is good. Sean Paul comes back with another banger.

I'm sorry but I just hate his voice. For me, he has ruined a number of good beats with that unmelodious voice of his. He's a great business man but terrible rapper.

Lil' Wayne On The View & Scott Storch Reamerges

Weezy Baby made an appearance on 'The View.' He claimed that he now takes college classes through the University Of Phoenix and that his diamond teefs are actually braces. Whatever Wayne.

The man who created such massive hits like Lean Back, Baby Boy, Make It Rain, and Candy Shop admits that he lost $30 million because of his cocaine habit. Scott Storch now lives in a home where he is under supervision and is allowed to work in the studio as long as he is back by curfew.

Rihanna: I Want My Jewels Back

Rihanna wants the LAPD give her back a set of earrings and three rings the police took in as evidence the night of her alleged beatdown by Chris Brown. The jewelry belongs to four different companies that loaned it to her that night. Rihanna's lawyer, Donald Etra, says that Chris' lawyer and the LAPD detectives have no problem giving the jewelry back. source

Michelle Obama's Comic Book

The first lady will appear in a biographical comic book called 'Female Force: Michelle Obama.' She doesn't have any super powers other than the hypnotizing rays of her buff arms. It will hit comic books stores next Wednesday.

Ciara Does 'The Migrane Skank'

'The Migrane Skank' is the biggest dance craze in England. *sighs* The stupidity from Atlanta spreads, apparently.

Susan Boyle's Makeover

I dunno, other than the hair color, she looks the same to me.

Danity Kane's Non-Reunion Reunion

A very anti-climatic show with four of the members (Dawn, Aubrey, D. Woods, and Shannon) of Danity Kane. Aundrea Fimbres, the fifth member, said to hell with it and didn't show up. Can't say that I blame her. What stuck out the most to me was the tension between the ladies. I laughed at the seat switch between D. Woods and Dawn during the commercial break. When asked if there could be a DK reunion, Aubrey was the only one who agreed that DK could reunite. The three others basically said no way. Shannon said that she would focus more on her marriage and maybe do country music. D. Woods is focusing on her solo project, which she said that her debut single would drop this summer. Aubrey stated that she's going back on Broadway and will have her own reality show. *rolls eyes* Dawn happens to be the only member still signed to Bad Boy and is working with Diddy on his upcoming album and plans to drop a solo album as well.
Honestly, I don't see much solo success musically for any of them. I don't believe that they have that IT factor that can translate to solo success. Which means there could be a DK reunion a few years from now.
P.S. Dawn should go back to the long weave. That cut made her look like a broke ass Rihanna.SMH

Asher Roth Gets Reckless

The story is that he finished performing at Rutgers U, and started posting via Twitter. With one post he says "hanging out with nappy headed hos" a la Don Imus. After some people commented that they were offended by that, he apologized. Hmm...These celebs need to start thinking things out before they type. Twitter can be an enemy. I believe it's the debil. source

Terrence Howard Is Still Mad

Terrence Howard is still upset about being kick out of the sequel to 'Iron Man.' He says that the producers didn't share the profits of the movie which grossed 320 million worldwide with the actors. But he says they shared the money with Robert Downey Jr only. His part was given to Don Cheadle. He says:

"Marvel made a choice, and it was a very, very bad choice....They didn't keep their word. They didn't honor my contract, they produced a great bounty with the first one, but they put it all in the storehouse and you were not allowed in, they did the same thing with Gwyneth Paltrow. They did it with everyone but Robert Downey [Jr]....One of the things that actors need to do is always stick together: one for all, and all for one...I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the movie. I want to see Don Cheadlebecome me. No, I want him to do better than me. That's what I really want to see. Don Cheadle was the reason I got 'Crash,' so I have a lot of love for him." source
