Its seems that Mrs. Obama's shoes have created a bit of controversy.

First Lady Michelle Obama is catching some flak for sporting pricey sneakers while volunteering at a food bank here with congressional spouses. The footwear has been identified by sharp eyed fashion mavens as made by the French design house Lanvin and costing more than $500. The congressional spouse bagging groceries with the First Lady is a fellow Illinoisan—Bob Creamer, the husband of Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.).

Naomi Campbell continues to put the fashion industry on blast for not hiring black models. Oscar De La Renta, recently criticized Mrs. Obama for not wearing high-end designers. Naomi says:

"Why would she concern herself with mainstream designers who don't even put their clothes on women who look like her in ads or fashion shows?'' source

Michelle Obama's Comic Book

The first lady will appear in a biographical comic book called 'Female Force: Michelle Obama.' She doesn't have any super powers other than the hypnotizing rays of her buff arms. It will hit comic books stores next Wednesday.

Lady Gaga "touched down in London town" today. She recently talked about a past rendezvous of hers in the back of a taxicab: “[It was] in the back of a taxi in New York. It was fun. First Couple Barack and Michelle Obama released their tax returns today. They earned a combined $2,656,902 last year, which mainly came from the sales of the president's two books. They paid a total of $933,206 in federal and state taxes. They received a $26,000 tax refund. source

Former hit-making producer Scott Storch was arrested last Friday for grand theft auto. Scotty boy supposedly began leasing an Bentley GT from Atlas Leasing Company, the owners of the vehicle, back in February 2006. The owners claim that Scott Storch has caused them to lose about $65,000 in profit because he had not turned over the car and he hasn't been paying on it either. source

First Lady Michelle Obama and her mother, Marian Robinson, are on the cover of the upcoming issue of Essence magazine. In it, they discuss many issues:

Advancing the role of women worldwide: "We have to talk about flex hours and exercise and nutrition and health and what that means. And we have to talk about values, and about our relationships with men. Oscar de la Renta Has Beef With Michelle Obama

"American fashion right now is struggling," says Oscar de la Renta. "I think I understand what [Obama and her advisers] are doing, but I don't think that is the right message at this particular point....I don't object to the fact that Mrs. Obama is wearing J. Crew to whatever because the diversity of America is what makes this country great. But there are a lot of great designers out there. I think it's wrong to go in one direction only."

Mrs. Obama is in a no-win situation. If she wears clothing by the big shot expensive designers, some would complain and say that she shouldn't wear such high-priced clothing when so many people are struggling. If she wears inexpensive clothing, then the big name designers get upset. Let the woman wear what ever the hell she wants. SOURCE
