Cassie Gets Put On Blast

Cassie did an interview with Philly's The Beat morning host Charlamagne. I have to say that I kinda felt bad for ol' girl. Charlamagne brought up the nude pics, her sexing Diddy, and her lack of vocal talent. Even a few of the callers took shots at her. Towards the end, Cassie announces that she'll hit up '106 & Park' next to which Charlamagne replies: "Please tell me you're not singing." Ouch.

Random Rap Notes

Here's Jeremih's singing the piano version of his smash hit 'Birthday Sex.'

Delusional rapper Rick Ross plans to start his own clothing line. The man who wears fake threads and shades wants to target his line towards large men. He tells Rap-Up, “A lot of times, big dudes can’t walk in these stores and get these sizes of the fly shit,” he says. “So I’d love to put something together just for the big guys.”

Yung Joc is threatening to out a gay member of the rap community Tuesday. He's currently in a legal battle with Diddy. Hmmm.....Was Superhead right all along?

UPDATE: Yung Joc claims that he was just playing. Whatever.

Suprise Of The Century...

Diddy cheats his artists.

Yung Joc says that that he plans to file a lawsuit against Bad Boy Records and Block Entertainment for a host of contractual discrepancies, including failure to pay royalties and advances for his first two albums and charging "outrageous clearance fees" for his collaborations with other artists. "I haven't been paid any royalties since I've been out, after over a million albums sold," says Yung Joc. "For my first album, they gave me a $25,000 advance when I was supposed to get more...Then I had a million dollar budget for my second album, never even got an advance off of it. For the third one they hit me with another $25,000, like I'm some chump in this shit. And I just got tired of it."

While Yung Joc says his main grievance is with Block Entertainment, the company that brought him to Bad Boy Records, he also expressed anger over his label's lack of support. "Diddy said he's got to stay out of it because it's between me and Block Entertainment," Yung Joc explains. "I was never signed to Block Entertainment, but they've been interfering with a lot of my business. I feel like [Bad Boy] isn't doing anything to try to intervene and help the situation."

Diddy: "Bad Boy Is The Last Label Standing"

But who's on it? Day26? Cassie? Not much roar coming from that label. And any artist that is on the label can't get a proper promotional push. How many hopes and dreams has this man destroyed? The label may be standing but is it standing tall? My answer is, um, no.

New Music: Sean Paul - 'So Fine' // Diddy - 'Diddy Bop'

This is good. Sean Paul comes back with another banger.

I'm sorry but I just hate his voice. For me, he has ruined a number of good beats with that unmelodious voice of his. He's a great business man but terrible rapper.

Danity Kane's Non-Reunion Reunion

A very anti-climatic show with four of the members (Dawn, Aubrey, D. Woods, and Shannon) of Danity Kane. Aundrea Fimbres, the fifth member, said to hell with it and didn't show up. Can't say that I blame her. What stuck out the most to me was the tension between the ladies. I laughed at the seat switch between D. Woods and Dawn during the commercial break. When asked if there could be a DK reunion, Aubrey was the only one who agreed that DK could reunite. The three others basically said no way. Shannon said that she would focus more on her marriage and maybe do country music. D. Woods is focusing on her solo project, which she said that her debut single would drop this summer. Aubrey stated that she's going back on Broadway and will have her own reality show. *rolls eyes* Dawn happens to be the only member still signed to Bad Boy and is working with Diddy on his upcoming album and plans to drop a solo album as well.
Honestly, I don't see much solo success musically for any of them. I don't believe that they have that IT factor that can translate to solo success. Which means there could be a DK reunion a few years from now.
P.S. Dawn should go back to the long weave. That cut made her look like a broke ass Rihanna.SMH

Snap Shots......

Diddy, Ashton Kutcher, and his wife Demi Moore were seen leaving the CNN studios. Diddy and Ashton were on Larry King discussing Twitter and Malaria. Ashton was "celebrating" his win over CNN in a race for one million followers on Twitter. *rolls eyes*

Rihanna was spotted shopping in LA with friends yesterday. Rih Rih seems to be a fan of Balmain. pic source

WTFiles!?!? Cassie Shaves Half Her Head

What has Diddy done to this girl? I hate to be cynical, but this is awfully convenient since her single is about to hit the airwaves. I can't believe she pulled a 'Britney.' SMH source

New Music: Cassie Feat. Puff Daddy - 'Must Be Love'

Listen: Must Be Love
Unlike many other people, I really like Cassie's music. I enjoyed her first album and I really hoped that she would team up with Ryan Leslie again because the chemistry that they had was undeniable. Plus, Ryan did a good job supplying uptempo beats that hid Cassie's shortcomings (her lack of vocal ability). But a reunion between the two seems highly unlikely now or in the near future. With that said, this song is just o.k., nothing special. I've never liked Diddy as a rapper. I hate his voice. He's ruined a lot of good beats for me. I'm sure a video is in the works for it. But Cassie and her handlers must realize that for her to be successful, she needs to bring back the uptempo club bangers like her first hit, 'Me & U.'
BTW, did Diddy change his name back to Puffy?

New Video: Day26 - 'Imma Put It On Her'

I see Diddy's using the video to basically plug his liquor. Damn Shame.
