2-Year Old's Two-Pack-a-Day Cigarette Habit Sparks Outrage

This is ridiculous.

A top anti-smoking group called on the Indonesian government Thursday to give the parents of a chainsmoking 2-year-old baby a kick in the ash.

"It's clear the parents of this baby don't understand the risk smoking poses to their child," said Matthew Myers of the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids in Washington, D.C.

Shocking photos of baby Ardi Rizal puffing away on up to 40 cigarettes a day had much of the world fuming.
"This reflects a pervasive problem in many low-income countries where tobacco companies market their products to an uneducated public," Myers said.

He noted that anybody, at any age, can buy cigarettes in Indonesia, which is the only country in Southeast Asia that has not ratified the World Health Organization's treaty on tobacco.

In Indonesia, the head of the country's child protection commission blamed Ardi's two-pack-a-day habit on advertising and clueless parents.

"A law to protect children and passive smokers should be introduced immediately in this country," said Seto Mulyadi, who cited this stunning statistic - 25% of Indonesia's kids ages 3 to 15 have tried smoking.

Ardi, who lives in the province of Sumatra, has another problem - he weighs 56 pounds. He's too fat to walk far so he gets around on a plastic toy truck.

His mother, Diana, understands her son has a problem.

"He's totally addicted," his weeping mom told reporters. "If he doesn't get cigarettes, he gets angry and screams and batters his head against the wall. He tells me he feels dizzy and sick."

Evidently, it doesn't bother his father, Mohammed.

"He looks pretty healthy to me," he said. "I don't see the problem."

Method Man Goes On A Tirade

Well, damn. While I understand his frustration, usually it's the woman who has to take care of a child. It's the woman who is placed with the burden to feed, clothe, and care for the baby 24/7. His whole shit about "it being on the man's shoulders" bullshit is ridiculous. If men didn't want to have babies with women who they feel would trap them and steal their money than maybe they should think about a more effective form of birth control.

Black Children Kicked Out Of Private Pool

What happened to that post-racial society they say that we live in? Are you ready for the reason why they kicked the kids out? They kicked them out because they were afraid that the black kids would "change the complexion of the place."

No, really. Here are some other details:
"When the minority children got in the pool all of the Caucasian children immediately exited the pool," Horace Gibson, parent of a day camp child, wrote in an email. "The pool attendants came and told the black children that they did not allow minorities in the club and needed the children to leave immediately."

Chris Brown says "Oops"

So much for the rumors about being broke. Chris Brown was spotted sporting a $300, 000 chain. Is there a message behind it? Like, "Oops I beat my girlfriend?" At least it's more original than T-Pain's dumb ass chain. source

Michael Jackson's Memorial

The public memorial for Michael Jackson took place in Los Angeles. It was very touching and classy (take note BET). But I'm sure the most memorial and heartbreaking part of the show was when MJ's Daughter, 11-year-old Paris Katherine took the mic and said a few loving words about her father. One of my favorite parts was Al Sharpton's speech saying to MJ's children, "There was nothing strange about your daddy, what was strange was the things he had to deal with."

True words indeed.

The Jamie Foxx Show

I thought that it was supposed to be the BET awards with a tribute to Michael Jackson? Damn, I wasted 4 hours for that crap? The whole show seemed like a platform for Jamie to promote his upcoming tour and put his vocals on display. It was so painful to the point of being disrespectful.

Wow, was that the best BET could do for a brilliant icon like Michael Jackson? Did we really need to see Jamie perform 53 times? Are you telling me BET couldn't have had Mariah come through and sing her classic rendition of 'I'll Be There?'

BET fails again. Maybe MTV will pull through in August for the VMA's. The only bright spot of tonight was Janet. She looked angelic and I definitely teared up when she spoke.

A Look Back At Michael Jackson Throughout The Years

I take it that this was taken after MJ's hair caught on fire during the taping of a Pepsi commercial.

This is the girl from the 'The Way You Make Me Feel.' She admitted a long time ago that she and MJ dated very briefly. They looked good together.

More Trouble For Perez

I'm sure everyone has heard about the battle between Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas and blogger Perez Hilton. Well now GLAAD is coming after him for calling Will.I.Am a "f*ggot." It's interesting that this is the same guy who constantly blasts people for alleged homophobia (Miss Cali), but he goes and does something like this. Oh the irony.

Dorian From College Hill Exposed

I've never watched 'College Hill' but I'm starting to wish that I did. Anyway, Dorian, who was on the Atlanta season, must have pissed someone off somehow because the person hacked into his phone and twitter accounts releasing intimate pics and a few celeb phone numbers. Folks like Meagan Good, Mario, Solange, and Tyson Beckford had their info put on blast. pic source

Ciara and Rick Ross For Rap-Up

Ciara looks gorgeous on the latest edition of Rap-Up magazine. She spoke on a number of things such as:

On Keri Hilson: “I knew her back when she was really trying to get in pocket and become an artist, and I know she had been trying way longer than I had back then. Back in the day, I used to ask her to sing for me. I forgot what song she used to sing, but vocally I thought she was crazy. As a writer, I thought she was dope. We did one song together on my first album. That was back when we were kinda around each other.”

On Folks Claiming She Swag Jacked Bey: “I know what work I put in to what I do and I know where I get my inspiration from and it’s definitely not the references that they put up on the Internet. People live for it. Negative energy travels faster than positive energy. Whoever it was, for them to dig deep down and find all those references, that’s ridiculous.”

On Eminem Not Jumping In 50 Cent’s Conflicts: “Because he knows [50] is a monkey. He’s Eminem’s personal monkey. Eminem is a genius for signing the monkey. Once Eminem is through with him and Jimmy [Iovine]’s through with him, he may end up on Maybach Music and be my monkey.”

On Those Who Accuse Kanye West Of Being Flamboyant: “He’s supposed to be. What is he supposed to do, not be flamboyant, not be fly, not be arrogant? Why not? I feel like why should another ni**a be insecure about another man. That’s a man; he got his own lane.” source
